Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Title:Electrical Maintenance EngineerLocationHQ Office - Riyadh, with periodic travel to 14 branch locations nationwideReporting RelationshipsReports to:Maintenance & Engineering ManagerSupervises: Branch electrical teams, contractors, and service providers (functional supervision)Department Maintenance & EngineeringRole Purpose:Provide senior electrical engineering leadership, technical governance, and maintenance support for the electrical assets across 14 industrial grain silo plants. Ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation through standardized maintenance strategies, asset reliability improvement, troubleshooting, technical review, project support, contractor management, and effective use of maintenance data and SAP PM/CMMS. Act as the HQ electrical technical authority for major electrical systems and provide technical direction to branch teams.Responsibilities:Electrical Asset Management & Reliability:Provide technical ownership and governance for MV/LV electrical systems across all 14 grain silo plants.Develop and standardize maintenance strategies, inspection requirements, testing programs, critical spare-parts requirements, and asset health monitoring.Review electrical asset performance, failure history, availability, and maintenance KPIs, and recommend reliability improvements.Technical Engineering & Maintenance:Review electrical designs, single-line diagrams, load schedules, protection settings, equipment specifications, method statements, and technical proposals.Provide technical support for MV switchgear, transformers, RMUs, LV switchboards, MCCs, PFC systems, motors, VFDs, generators, ATS, and synchronization systems.Review and improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, including electrical testing, condition assessment, and safety inspections.Troubleshooting, RCA & Emergency Support:Lead or support troubleshooting of major electrical failures and recurring problems, including protection trips, motor failures, power quality issues, generator failures, and control-system faults.Conduct structured Root Cause Analysis and ensure corrective actions address the failure mechanism rather than only restoring operation.Provide technical support to branches during critical breakdowns and coordinate specialist/OEM support when required.Projects, Procurement & Contractor Management:Prepare technical scopes, RFPs, BOQs, cost estimates, technical evaluations, and purchase specifications for electrical maintenance and improvement projects.Technically evaluate suppliers and contractors and monitor execution, quality, testing, commissioning, and handover.Participate in FAT, SAT, site testing, commissioning, performance verification, and final acceptance.Safety, Compliance & Standards:Ensure electrical maintenance and projects comply with approved specifications, applicable IEC standards, company requirements, and HSE controls.Support electrical safety programs including isolation/LOTO, earthing, arc-flash risk controls, electrical testing, and safe work practices.Consider combustible-dust and grain-handling hazards when reviewing electrical installations, equipment selection, maintenance, and modifications.CMMS, Documentation & Technical Governance:Ensure maintenance work orders, inspection results, test reports, failure records, and asset history are accurately captured in SAP PM/CMMS.Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, protection settings, test certificates, and technical records for completeness and accuracy.Establish standard electrical maintenance procedures, checklists, technical reports, and lessons learned across branches.Leadership, Coordination & Continuous Improvement:Provide technical direction and coaching to branch maintenance teams and electrical contractors.Coordinate with Operations, HSSE, Procurement, Projects, Finance, consultants, OEMs, and contractors to resolve technical and operational priorities.Conduct site visits and technical audits across the 14 plants and track actions to closure.Analyze equipment failure trends and reliability data to drive continuous improvement, standardize maintenance procedures, and support digitalization of SAP PM/CMMS reporting.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, with strong industrial electrical maintenance exposure.Proven experience with MV/LV distribution, transformers, MV switchgear/RMUs, LV switchboards, MCCs, PFC systems, motors, VFDs, generators, ATS, and synchronization systems.Experience in electrical troubleshooting, RCA, preventive/predictive maintenance, testing, and commissioning.Experience preparing technical scopes, RFPs, BOQs, technical evaluations, and contractor/OEM management.Ability to technically supervise electrical maintenance activities across multiple industrial sites.Strong knowledge of electrical safety, earthing, protection systems, and applicable IEC requirements.Working knowledge of SAP PM or another CMMS.Strong English communication and technical report-writing skills.Willingness and ability to travel to branch plants as required.
