Electrical Metering Technician

Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, replace, inspect and maintain electricity meters at residential, commercial and industrial sites.Conduct meter readings using handheld or automated systems.Test and troubleshoot faulty meters and associated electrical equipment.Perform electricity connection, disconnection and reconnection activities.Identify abnormal consumption, meter discrepancies and technical faults.Maintain accurate meter-reading and service records.Respond to customer queries related to meters, readings and technical issues.Follow electrical safety, HSE and regulatory requirements.RequirementsTechnical Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or related field.Experience in electrical metering, electricity distribution or electrical maintenance.Hands-on knowledge of meter installation, testing and troubleshooting.Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and safety procedures.Experience with smart meters/AMI and handheld meter-reading devices is an advantage.Good communication and customer-service skills.
