They specialise in supporting repeat and high-volume OEMs, along with a wide range of industrial applications. Due to continued growth and increased demand, they are now seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their team and support the delivery of key projects across their operations.Job OverviewThis role involves managing electrical projects from initial design and technical review through to production, testing, and final delivery. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesManage electrical panel projects from quotation handover through to final commissioningInterpret customer specifications, electrical drawings, and technical documentationPrepare Bills of Materials and coordinate procurement of componentsEnsure compliance with IEC, EN, UL, CE, and other relevant standardsLiaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycleProvide technical support to workshop technicians during build and testingOversee Factory Acceptance Testing and support Site Acceptance Testing where requiredMonitor timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient deliveryIdentify and resolve technical issues effectivelyMaintain accurate project documentation and revision controlSupport continuous improvement across engineering and production teamsQualificationsDegree or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related disciplineorSOLAS Level 6 apprenticeship with relevant industry experienceEssential Skills/Experience2–5 years’ experience in electrical panel design or industrial electrical projectsStrong understanding of ELV, LV, and HV systems and control panel designKnowledge of motor control systems, PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and protection systemsFamiliarity with IEC standards and electrical safety regulationsAbility to read and interpret single line diagrams and control schematicsStrong organisational and project management skillsExcellent communication and client-facing abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDesirable SkillsExperience in panel building or automation environmentsProficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SEE Electrical or similarExperience with CE and UL marking and technical file preparationKnowledge of short circuit and thermal calculationsFamiliarity with ERP or MRP systemsSite commissioning experienceFull clean driving licence
