This role is responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing solar power and PV systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing site assessments, preparing technical drawings and calculations, selecting system components, and developing detailed electrical solar designs. The engineer collaborates with project managers and installation teams, supports system commissioning and troubleshooting, and prepares technical documentation and reports. The role also involves coordinating with clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide technical guidance, and help deliver safe, efficient, and reliable solar solutions.Qualifications Strong knowledge of the solar industry and solar power technologies, with practical experience in solar systems.Proficiency in PV design and electrical design, including system layout, wiring diagrams, and load calculations.Experience with relevant design and simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, ETAP or similar) and familiarity with applicable electrical standards and codes.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; professional certifications in solar or renewable energy are an advantage.Ability to perform site assessments, prepare technical documentation, and support installation and commissioning activities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams on-site.Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.Previous experience in solar projects in the Middle East or similar environments is beneficial.
