Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Purpose:The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and production machinery within a meat processing facility. The role ensures maximum equipment uptime, compliance with food safety standards, and adherence to health and safety regulations in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment and production lines.Diagnose and repair electrical faults in processing, packaging, refrigeration, and utility equipment.Maintain and troubleshoot motors, drives, control panels, PLC systems, sensors, and instrumentation.Support production teams by ensuring minimal downtime and rapid response to equipment failures.Perform electrical inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.Assist in the installation, modification, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.Maintain refrigeration and cold storage electrical systems used in meat processing operations.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.Record maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage accurately.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment reliability and operational efficiency.Ensure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed when performing maintenance activities.Qualifications & Experience:Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician within an FMCG manufacturing environment.Mandatory experience in meat processing, poultry processing or food manufacturing facilities.Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMI systems, electrical panels, sensors, and industrial automation.Experience working with packaging machines, conveyors, meat processing equipment, and refrigeration systems.Understanding of food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and hygiene requirements.
