Electrical TechnicianDepartmentOperations & Maintenance (O&M)Facility TypeCombined Cycle Power Plant – NawrasExperience LevelMinimum 3 yearsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance procedures and safety standards.Troubleshoot, diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical equipment used in power plant operations.Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection schematics.Install, inspect, service, adjust, and repair static and rotating electrical equipment.Coordinate equipment isolation and maintenance activities with the Electrical Supervisor and Operations team.Report spare parts and consumable requirements to support maintenance activities.Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history.Prepare work areas and equipment before maintenance activities.Support plant shutdowns, annual outages, and overhauling activities.Maintain high housekeeping standards (5S) within the work area.Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.QualificationsDiploma in Electrical Engineering, or minimum 3 years of experience as a Skilled Electrical Labor within Nawras plants. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar role.Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: Conventional Power Plants, Combined Cycle Power Plants, or Cogeneration Plants.Skills & CompetenciesKnowledge of electrical maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection schematics.Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance principles.Basic knowledge of power plant operations.Awareness of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Willingness to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around industrial equipment.Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, confined space entry, PPE, fire protection systems, and safe work practices.Basic computer skills.Knowledge of waste management, environmental compliance, firefighting equipment, and first aid.
