Electrical Technician

About the CompanyThe Electrician-LV performs basic building electrical wiring and lighting repairs and installations independently and other skilled electrical maintenance, installation, and repair under supervision of a higher-level technician. He works on low voltage electrical systems (below 500 V) pertaining to electrical wiring networks, distribution panels and miscellaneous low voltage components and peripheral applications.About the RoleThe Electrician-LV performs basic building electrical wiring and lighting repairs and installations independently and other skilled electrical maintenance, installation, and repair under supervision of a higher-level technician.ResponsibilitiesRepairs, maintains and traces faults in LV electrical wiring networksMaintenance and repair of lighting fixtures and other small electrical peripheralsOperate power hand tools and other test equipmentConducts visual inspections on electrical connections and wiring and status of electrical equipmentPerforms works on LV networks as instructed by superiorsApply safety procedures and use PPE protection means when workingPreserving punctuality in attendanceQualificationsRecognized technician-level certificate or diploma in electricity.Communication skills in English.Saudi Nationalilty as per nationalization regulationsRequired SkillsElectrician-LV should be able to utilize basic industry tools and instrumentsShould be able to perform basic level diagnosis and repairs on low voltage electrical repairsShould be able to read electrical drawingsKnowledge of the common electrical accessories and the usage of eachLegible communication skills in English.Gentle behavioral skills including listening and comprehending from superiorsFast LearningAbility to handle multiple tasksKnowledge of electrical safety procedures and usage of PPEsPreferred SkillsBackground in Operation and Maintenance of Building FacilitiesGood organizational skills.Knowledge of computer skills is a plus.What minimum experience is required for this position:2 years if holding three-year Technical Diploma (3-year Diploma) – or4 years if holding just a Technical Certificate (2-year certificate) – orOne-year apprentice certificate + 6 years of relevant experience
