Job Title: Electronics Assembly Team leaderLocation: RugbySalary: £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience & skillsThe roleResponsible for leading, coordinating and supporting the assembly and manufacture of condition monitoring equipment, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality delivery through effective team leadership, resource planning, and continuous improvement.Supports operational performance, cost control and delivery commitments.This is a hands-on role requiring a strong background in electronics, together with good IT/Software skills.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the assembly team, ensuring a strong safety-first culture across all activitiesPlan and coordinate daily and weekly workloads to align with operational prioritiesEnsure delivery of assembly activities on time, to budget, and to required quality standardsDrive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and cost efficiencyMaintain and enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)Provide technical support, training, and development to team membersInterface with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure effective delivery planningOversee quality control, including non-conformance management and root cause analysisManage stock control, Kanban System, materials availability, and workshop readinessEnsure accurate documentation, traceability, and product records are maintainedSupport across assembly, testing, fault finding and repair activities where requiredSupport the installation, configuration and basic troubleshooting of software used with condition monitoring systemsLiaise with the Quartzteq R&D team to support updates to technical documentation and provide feedback and suggestions for product improvementMonitor team performance and drive accountability against KPIsQualifications, Experience & Personal AttributesExperience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with supervisory or team leadership experienceStrong electronics knowledge and hands-on technical capabilityGood IT / software skillsAbility to lead teams, plan workloads and manage competing prioritiesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsHNC / City & Guilds or equivalent in Electro-mechanical Engineering (or similar)3–5 years’ experience within a similar industryStrong communication skills and ability to work across functionsQuartzelec is an equal opportunities employer All personal data collected by Quartzelec Ltd is stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).Please read our Privacy Policy for a full insight on how we protect and manage data.If you wish for your data to be removed from our database please contact us at recruitment@quartzelec.com
