This multidisciplinary expertise supports innovative, practical solutions tailored to farmers and rural businesses.Role Description The Electronics Engineer role at Edge Systems is a full-time, on-site position based in the Perth, WA. The role involves designing and developing electronic circuits and hardware for remote monitoring devices and sensors used in agricultural and rural environments. Day-to-day tasks include creating schematics, selecting components, supporting PCB layout, and collaborating with software and field teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware, firmware, and data transmission. The Electronics Engineer will test, validate, and troubleshoot prototypes and production units, contribute to documentation and design reviews, and support installation and commissioning of systems at customer sites. This position works closely with cross-functional colleagues to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions that perform reliably in challenging field conditions.QualificationsDegree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics EngineeringHands-on experience in Circuit Design and practical Electronics, including component selection and schematic development.Proficiency in Testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and devices in lab and field environments.Experience with wireless comms protocols - LTE, NB-IOT, Satelite, wifi, LoraExperience writing firmwareFamiliarity with IoT devices and sensor technologies is highly beneficial.Experience with PCB design tools, laboratory equipment, and relevant safety and compliance standards.Ability to work on-site in the Greater Perth Area, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
