The company focuses on delivering current projects reliably while building the systems and services needed for future growth.Role Description This full-time, on-site Elevator and Escalator Technician role is based in Dubai, with compensation starting from AED 5,000+/month based on experience. This position gives you hands-on exposure across the full scope of the business — installation and commissioning, critical repairs, modernization, and escalator work — building broader, more versatile experience than a single specialty alone. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing and commissioning new elevator and escalator systems according to technical specifications and safety standards, performing routine inspections, and conducting preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation. The Technician will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues across both elevators and escalators, carry out corrective repairs, and document work in line with vertIQ's SOPs and safety reporting requirements. There's a genuine path to grow into a senior or lead technician role as vertIQ expands its service lines and project volume. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and other technicians to meet project timelines, adhering to local regulations and OEM guidelines, and communicating clearly with stakeholders about status, issues, and risks.QualificationsMust currently reside in the UAE.Strong skills in elevator maintenance and repair; escalator experience is a plus.Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and diagnostic work on elevators and associated systems.Solid understanding of electricity and electro-mechanical components relevant to vertical transportation equipment.Technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent qualification in mechanical, electrical, or elevator technology.Proven experience (2+ years) as an elevator technician, preferably with an OEM such as Otis, KONE, Schindler, or TK Elevator, or with a certified contractor.Knowledge of relevant safety standards, local codes, and best practices for working at heights and with electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work in a structured, SOP-driven environment.Willingness to work on-site, including occasional overtime or shifts as project demands require.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within project teams and with supervisors.BenefitsCompetitive salary starting from AED 5,000+/month, based on experienceHealth insurance, in line with UAE requirementsTransportation allowance for site accessAccommodation support as needed for work requirements
