Embedded Software Engineer 3

Location: Mossville, ILSchedule: Full-Time, Onsite (1st Shift)Duration: 12-Month ContractPay Rate: $55-$60/hrWe are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a team developing advanced embedded control software for next-generation engine, battery electric, and fuel cell technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex embedded systems, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, and contribute to products used around the world.What You'll DoDesign, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for electronic control systems.Analyze software requirements and participate in requirements development and verification activities.Develop and maintain embedded software libraries and applications.Configure, build, and deploy software for embedded control systems.Create and execute test plans using manual and automated testing methods.Set up and configure software and hardware test bench environments.Troubleshoot software and system-level defects, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.Improve system performance, stability, scalability, and efficiency.Collaborate with systems engineers, validation engineers, software architects, and development teams.Support software integration activities and customer-facing troubleshooting efforts.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with an embedded software focus.5+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.Strong programming experience in C.Experience with Model-Based Development.Experience developing embedded control software.Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements, development, testing, and delivery.Ability to read schematics and component data sheets.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsApplication software development and integration experience.Experience with embedded operating systems.Experience with communications protocols and networking technologies.Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.Experience with Python or other scripting languages.Experience with engine controls, machine controls, or similar embedded control systems.Familiarity with CAN, SAE J1939, Ethernet, and other communication protocols.Experience troubleshooting electrical systems.What You'll GainHands-on experience developing embedded software for advanced power and energy control systems.Exposure to engine, electric power, and fuel cell technologies.Opportunities to collaborate with software, systems, validation, and platform engineering teams.Experience working across the full embedded software development lifecycle from requirements through validation.#INDOEM
