Apply & track with Apply EdgeEmbedded Systems Developer – InternsLocation: Trivandrum, KeralaWork Mode: On-siteCompany: AppleBerry TechnologiesAbout the RoleAppleBerry Technologies is looking for enthusiastic Embedded Systems Developer Interns to join our engineering team in Trivandrum.The selected candidates will work on real-world embedded systems projects involving medical devices, sensor-based systems, IoT products, signal acquisition, wireless communication, and intelligent monitoring systems.This internship is suitable for students or fresh graduates who are passionate about electronics, firmware development, microcontrollers, sensors, and building complete hardware-software systems.ResponsibilitiesAs an Embedded Systems Developer Intern, you will:Develop and test firmware for microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, and similar embedded platforms.Interface sensors, ADCs, DACs, displays, communication modules, and other peripherals.Work with communication protocols including:UARTSPII2CUSBBluetooth / BLEWi-FiMQTTAssist in developing embedded applications for medical devices, patient monitoring systems, IoT devices, and sensor-based products.Perform sensor data acquisition, filtering, calibration, and basic signal processing.Implement and test real-time embedded firmware.Work with timers, interrupts, ADC sampling, GPIO, PWM, and peripheral drivers.Debug embedded hardware and firmware using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, serial terminals, and debuggers.Assist with hardware bring-up, PCB testing, and prototype validation.Develop test applications or utilities using Python when required.Work with Raspberry Pi or embedded Linux platforms for device integration and data processing.Participate in system testing, debugging, documentation, and performance improvement.Collaborate with hardware, software, AI/ML, and product-development teams.Research and evaluate new sensors, ICs, development boards, and embedded technologies.Required SkillsCandidates should have basic knowledge of:C / Embedded CMicrocontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, Arduino, PIC, AVR, or similar platformsDigital and analog electronicsGPIO, ADC, PWM, timers, and interruptsUART, SPI, and I2C communicationReading circuit diagrams and datasheetsBasic debugging and troubleshootingEmbedded firmware development conceptsGood to HaveKnowledge or experience in any of the following will be an advantage:STM32CubeIDE / STM32CubeMXESP-IDF or Arduino framework for ESP32FreeRTOSRaspberry PiPythonBluetooth / BLEWi-Fi and MQTTPCB design and hardware debuggingGit / GitHubDigital signal processingSensor signal filteringFFT, digital filters, peak detection, or waveform analysisMedical electronics or biomedical instrumentationIoT systems and cloud connectivityEducational BackgroundStudents or recent graduates from:Electronics and Communication EngineeringElectrical and Electronics EngineeringElectronics and Instrumentation EngineeringBiomedical EngineeringMechatronicsEmbedded SystemsRoboticsComputer Science with strong embedded/hardware interestDiploma/B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech or equivalent relevant programsFinal-year students and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.What We Look ForWe are particularly interested in candidates who:Enjoy building and debugging real hardware.Are willing to work hands-on with sensors, microcontrollers, PCBs, and development boards.Have good problem-solving and logical-thinking skills.Are comfortable reading datasheets and technical documentation.Are eager to learn new technologies independently.Can systematically troubleshoot hardware and firmware problems.Have completed academic, hobby, mini, or final-year projects involving embedded systems.Candidates who have built their own microcontroller, IoT, robotics, biomedical, automation, or sensor-based projects will have an advantage.What You Will GainDuring the internship, you will get hands-on exposure to:Production-oriented embedded firmware developmentSTM32 and ESP32 developmentMedical-device and patient-monitoring technologiesSensor interfacing and signal processingIoT and wireless communicationEmbedded Linux and Raspberry PiHardware debugging and product testingPCB and prototype validationReal-world product-development workflowsFirmware documentation and version controlYou will have the opportunity to work on actual product-development projects rather than only academic exercises.LocationSreekaryam, Trivandrum, Kerala – On-siteCandidates should be available to work from our Trivandrum development location.
