We are seeking an Embedded Test & Systems Software Engineer to join our hardware-software integration team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between firmware development and system-level validation. You will build robust Python-based test automation frameworks, interface directly with hardware peripherals and communication protocols, and contribute directly to embedded C software development when required.Core ResponsibilitiesTest Automation & Frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain automated regression test suites using Python (pytest or Robot Framework) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.Firmware & C Development: Read, debug, and contribute to low-level embedded C code, drivers, and system services during feature development and hardware bring-up.Protocol & Hardware Validation: Perform functional and system-level validation for protocols including CAN/CAN-FD, $\text{I}^2\text{C}$, PMBus, SPI, and UART.System Management & Security: Validate RESTful Redfish APIs via Postman/curl and execute validation suites for Secure Boot sequences.Linux System Debugging: Configure embedded Linux environments (Yocto Project), manage Systemd services, and analyze journalctl logs to isolate hardware-software bugs.Technical RequirementsMandatory Skills:3–8 years of experience in embedded software development, hardware bring-up, or system test engineering.Strong proficiency in Python for test framework development and scripting.Solid background in embedded C programming and firmware debugging.Hands-on experience with hardware peripherals (EEPROM, eMMC, GPIO, Sensors).Deep understanding of embedded Linux, command-line diagnostics, Systemd, and log analysis tools.Experience validating server management APIs (Redfish).Good to Have:Exposure to OpenBMC architecture, D-Bus IPC, and system inventory services.Experience with network protocols (SNMP, HTTPS, SSH).Familiarity with hardware-level debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).Performance, stress, and load testing experience on embedded systems.
