Job Title: Emergency Medicine - Staff Specialist or Senior Medical OfficerRemuneration: Up to $587,432 p.a.Position Type: Permanent Full-Time and/or Permanent Part-TimeWe are seeking dedicated Emergency Medicine Specialist to join a fast-paced emergency department in a renowned regional hospital.

This facility is a 200+ bed hospital offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including acute and critical care, surgical services, intensive care, maternity, and rehabilitation.The emergency department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and provides high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a vibrant and growing community.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a diverse range of cases, including 25% paediatrics and a significant trauma caseloadProvide expert clinical services within the Clinical Services Capability Framework and clinical privileges grantedAssist satellite hospitals and rural sites through Telehealth and in-person supportContribute to innovative pre-hospital care models, including HITH and GEDI programsEngage in the development of a new Emergency DepartmentEnjoy flexible and equitable rostering that balances service needs with academic prioritiesPotential involvement in the Regional Aeromedical Retrieval ServiceParticipate in a successful postgraduate education and training program, including ACEM fellowship and diploma trainingProvide clinical supervision and training for junior medical staff, medical students, and other health professionals

Requirements

Specialist qualifications in Emergency Medicine (FACEM or equivalent). Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
