About the Role : part of the Aircraft Integration Team, the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (EMI/EMC) Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of E3 to ensure aircraft safety against internal and external electromagnetic threats. This role supports new aircraft development programs as well as modification activities, covering Intra-system EMC, HIRF, IEL, DEL, EMRADHAZ, and P-Static compliance.Key Responsibilities : Develop, plan, and execute E3 certification strategies, including preparation and conduct of certification tests and compliance documentationDefine and support E3 architecture for new or modified electrical and electronic systems to ensure resistance to electromagnetic effects and abnormal environmental conditionsSupport antenna co-site analysis, evaluation, and optimization for aircraft communication systemsAssist system designers in developing technical specifications and equipment installations, ensuring full compliance with environmental standardsSupport electrical and mechanical teams during system validation and verification (V&V) activitiesReview supplier E3 qualification test plans and reports to ensure aircraft-level electromagnetic environment complianceProvide EMI/EMC guidance to internal teams, suppliers, and customersLiaise with certification authorities, suppliers, and accredited test housesCreate, maintain, and update test reports, procedures, certification evidence, and documentation for accredited testingSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to cost reduction, efficiency, and process optimizationEducational Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related fieldSpecialization in Electromagnetics and RF Communication Design is a strong advantageExperience & Skills :Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in EMC / E3 within the Aerospace & Defence industryGood understanding of aircraft and system design processes, including ARP 4754 & ARP 4761Ability to flow system requirements down to subsystem specifications and drawingsExperience evaluating system designs, wiring diagrams, and installations against applicable standardsKnowledge of 14 CFR Part 23 regulations, including fuel tank protection against lightning, HIRF, static electricity, and related hazardsAbility to analyze aircraft modifications and ensure certification complianceExperience performing electronic system analyses (sensors, radar, communications, flight controls, power systems, etc.)Strong theoretical knowledge of EM fields, transmission lines, antennas, propagation, signal integrity, EMI/EMCFamiliarity with RTCA/DO‑160, SAE ARP standards, and FAA advisory circularsKnowledge of MIL‑STD‑464 and MIL‑STD‑461 is a strong assetExperience working in EASA/FAA approved Design Organizations (Part 21J) is a strong assetHands-on experience with EMA3D, CST, and/or FEKO electromagnetic simulation tools is an advantageSelf‑motivated, proactive, and solutions‑oriented mindsetAbility to work effectively in dynamic programs with evolving scope and multi-disciplinary coordination
