Personnel are supported with training and resources to maintain high standards of care and safety.Role Description The EMT Paramedic/Advanced role is a full-time, on-site position based in McComb, OH. In this role, the clinician provides advanced life support and emergency medical care to patients in pre-hospital settings, including responding to 911 calls, assessing patient conditions, and performing appropriate medical interventions. Day-to-day responsibilities include safe operation of ambulances and equipment, administering medications, performing cardiac monitoring and airway management, and documenting all patient care in accordance with EMS protocols and regulations. The EMT Paramedic/Advanced collaborates with partners, dispatch, hospitals, and other emergency services to coordinate patient transport and continuity of care. The role also includes participation in training, equipment checks, and quality improvement activities to ensure readiness and compliance with clinical and safety standards.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in Emergency Services and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), including pre-hospital patient assessment and care.Foundational knowledge of Medicine relevant to EMS practice, including pharmacology, trauma care, cardiac care, and medical emergencies.Valid state EMT-Paramedic or Advanced EMT license in Ohio, or the ability to secure licensure within required timeframes.Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain within organizational guidelines.Ability to lift, move, and transport patients and equipment safely, and to work in physically demanding and high-stress environments.Strong communication skills, professional conduct with patients and families, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.Clean driving record and eligibility to operate emergency vehicles under organizational and state requirements.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional EMS or healthcare education is beneficial.
