Gaelan Hospital is committed to making high-quality healthcare accessible, responsive, and compassionate.Role Description The Endocrinologist is a full-time, on-site role based at Gaelan Hospital in Sharjah. The role involves diagnosing and managing endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders, and other hormonal conditions for adult and, as applicable, pediatric patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outpatient and inpatient consultations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring disease progression and treatment outcomes. The Endocrinologist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care and relevant specialties such as cardiology, to ensure integrated care. Additional duties include maintaining accurate medical records, participating in clinical case discussions, providing patient and family education, and supporting quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.Qualifications Strong clinical expertise in Endocrinology, including diagnosis and management of a broad range of hormonal and metabolic disorders.Advanced knowledge and experience in Diabetes care, including complex case management, complications screening, and patient education.Competence in Pediatric Endocrinology for endocrine conditions in children and adolescents, where applicable to the role.Understanding of Cardiology as it relates to endocrine and metabolic diseases, particularly cardiovascular risk in diabetes and thyroid disorders.Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed residency in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics, plus recognized specialty training and board certification in Endocrinology.Valid professional license or eligibility for licensure to practice as an Endocrinologist in the UAE.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and high standards of patient safety and ethical care.
