The Smilist is known for providing affordable, gentle, and long-lasting dentistry that prioritizes both comfort and results.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Endodontist role based in Queens, NY. The Endodontist will perform diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the dental pulp and surrounding tissues, including root canal therapy, retreatments, and endodontic surgeries. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, interpreting radiographs and CBCT scans, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care. The role also involves educating patients on treatment options and post-operative care, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and adhering to infection control, safety, and quality standards. The Endodontist will contribute to a supportive, patient-focused culture that aligns with The Smilist’s commitment to comfort, compassion, and clinical excellence.Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school, with completed endodontic residency.Active New York dental license (or eligibility) and board certification or board eligibility in Endodontics.Demonstrated proficiency in non-surgical and surgical endodontic procedures, including complex root canal therapy and retreatments.Strong diagnostic skills, including interpretation of radiographs and CBCT imaging, and development of evidence-based treatment plans.Commitment to patient-centered care, with excellent chairside manner and the ability to explain procedures and options clearly.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with a multidisciplinary dental team and support staff.High standards of infection control, ethics, professionalism, and attention to detail in clinical documentation.Willingness to stay current with advances in endodontic techniques, materials, and technology; experience with modern endodontic equipment and rotary systems is preferred.Ability to work full time on-site in Queens, NY, with reliability and flexibility to support patient scheduling needs.
