The firm's Energy & Utilities practice partners with national oil companies, integrated energy majors, power and water utilities, grid operators, and investors across the region on corporate and portfolio strategy. The Position:This is a senior leadership position with genuine ownership over client relationships, practice growth, and people development. You will:Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior leadership at leading energy, utilities, and investment organizations across Southeast Asia, including national and state-owned enterprisesOriginate and lead high-impact strategy engagements spanning energy transition and decarbonization strategy, upstream/downstream portfolio strategy, power sector reform and market design, grid and infrastructure investment strategy, and large-scale operational and organizational transformationBuild and deepen client relationships, translating trusted advisor status into a growing pipeline of workShape and drive the go-to-market agenda for the practice regionally, working closely with practice and firm leadershipContribute to thought leadership, proprietary methodologies, and the firm's broader brand in the sector, particularly around the energy transition

Requirements

C. 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, with a substantial track record in Energy (Oil & Gas), Utilities, or Infrastructure — including exposure to national oil companies, power/water utilities, or Solar infrastructure investmentsDemonstrated ability to originate and sell work, with an existing network of senior relationships across the sector in Southeast Asia strongly preferred, including with government-linked and state-owned entitiesA track record of leading complex, high-stakes engagements from strategy through to execution, ideally including energy transition, regulatory, or large capital programsStrong commercial instincts paired with genuine intellectual rigor — comfortable moving between boardroom strategy conversations and the technical, regulatory, and operational detail that makes strategies real in this sectorProven people leadership: a track record of building, mentoring, and retaining strong teamsFluency in English required; additional Southeast Asian languages are a strong plus, especially BAHASA given the client interaction.Currently based in JAKARTA IS A MUST.Our client offers a senior leadership platform with significant autonomy and a clear path for continued career progression as well as the opportunity to build and shape a high-growth practice within an established global platform.
