dynamics, pricing trends, regulatory developments, geopolitical factors, and market opportunities to support trading decisions.Collaborate with Energy Trading, Commercial Strategy, Risk Management, Finance, Operations, Renewable Energy, Regulatory Affairs, Analytics, and Executive Leadership teams to optimize trading performance.Manage trading portfolios, positions, contracts, hedging strategies, market exposure, and revenue optimization initiatives.Conduct market analysis, price forecasting, fundamental analysis, technical analysis, scenario modelling, and trading opportunity assessments.Develop and execute short-term and long-term trading strategies while managing commercial risks and market volatility.Coordinate with energy suppliers, utilities, traders, brokers, counterparties, exchanges, and strategic partners to strengthen trading relationships.Oversee energy contract negotiations, power purchase agreements (PPAs), trading agreements, and commercial arrangements.Establish trading policies, risk controls, compliance procedures, reporting standards, and operational governance frameworks.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including trading profitability, portfolio performance, market exposure, risk-adjusted returns, forecast accuracy, transaction volume, contract performance, cost efficiency, and revenue growth.Conduct trading performance reviews, market assessments, risk evaluations, benchmarking studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with UAE energy regulations, international energy market rules, commodity trading standards, financial controls, sanctions requirements, and organizational governance policies.Manage energy trading budgets, trading platforms, market data providers, analytics tools, brokers, consultants, and strategic commercial partnerships.Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered market forecasting, algorithmic trading analytics, predictive pricing models, automated risk monitoring, and business intelligence solutions.Utilize ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) systems, Allegro, Endur, Openlink, SAP, Oracle, Python, R, SQL, Bloomberg, Power BI, Tableau, market intelligence platforms, and energy analytics technologies to optimize trading decisions.Prepare executive dashboards, trading performance reports, market outlook analyses, risk assessments, portfolio reviews, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.Lead, mentor, and develop energy traders, market analysts, commercial specialists, and cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of performance, innovation, risk awareness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Energy Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.Master's degree in Energy Economics, Finance, Business Administration (MBA), Energy Management, Quantitative Finance, or a related discipline is highly advantageous.Professional certifications such as Energy Risk Professional (ERP), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Commodity Trading Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent are preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in energy trading, commodity trading, power markets, natural gas trading, energy risk management, commercial energy operations, or related roles.At least 2 years of experience managing energy trading teams, trading portfolios, market strategies, or complex commercial energy programmes preferred.Strong understanding of energy markets, commodity trading, market risk management, derivatives, hedging strategies, pricing models, energy contracts, regulatory frameworks, and commercial optimization.Experience with ETRM systems, Allegro, Endur, Openlink, SAP, Oracle, Bloomberg, Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, market analytics platforms, and energy trading technologies.Familiarity with AI-powered trading analytics, algorithmic trading, predictive market modelling, automated risk management, renewable energy trading, smart grid technologies, and advanced energy intelligence solutions is highly advantageous.Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, financial modelling, project management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple energy trading initiatives while balancing profitability objectives, market volatility, regulatory requirements, risk exposure, budgets, timelines, and organizational priorities.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed trading teams, market analysts, energy partners, regulators, executives, and global stakeholders,
