Team members join a mission-driven environment that values creativity, technical excellence, and long-term impact on the Kingdom’s automotive ecosystem.Role Description: This is a full-time , on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for an Engineer specializing in ePowertrain Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) Software Development. The engineer will design, implement, and validate control software for electric powertrain systems, including torque management, energy optimization, and vehicle performance features. Daily tasks include developing control algorithms, integrating software with hardware components, conducting system-level testing, and troubleshooting issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering. The role also involves ensuring compliance with automotive standards, documenting software architecture and test results, and continuously improving software robustness, safety, and efficiency. The engineer will participate in design reviews, support production launch activities, and contribute to future ePowertrain innovation at CEER.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and control systems relevant to ePowertrain and automotive applications.Process Control and Motion Control skills to design, tune, and optimize vehicle and powertrain control strategies.Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and integration issues in complex embedded systems.Robotics and automation experience, especially in dynamic system control, sensor integration, and real-time decision-making.Experience with embedded software development (C/C++ or similar), real-time operating systems, and automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN).Familiarity with model-based development tools (such as MATLAB/Simulink) and software verification and validation methods.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.Knowledge of automotive safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE) is highly beneficial.
