About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Engineer – Production & Production Systems Optimization to support production planning, forecasting, performance monitoring, and operational optimization within a complex industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximizing production efficiency, improving asset performance, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and leveraging advanced analytics to drive operational excellence.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.At least 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Energy, Utilities, or other process industries.Solid understanding of production systems, wells, process facilities, and operational constraints.Familiarity with production planning tools, hydrocarbon accounting systems, and real-time production monitoring platforms.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Interest in digital oilfield technologies, advanced analytics, AI, and operational optimization tools.Key CompetenciesProduction systems engineering and facility performance management.Production planning, scheduling, forecasting, and optimization.Production deferment management and loss analysis.Real-time production monitoring and performance surveillance systems.Production data analytics and operational decision support.Understanding of hydrocarbon value chains and production operations.Knowledge of mass balance, allocation, and production accounting principles.Digital oilfield technologies, industrial data platforms, analytics, and AI applications.Cross-functional coordination between Operations, Planning, Commercial, and Digital teams.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and enhance production planning, forecasting, scheduling, and deferment management processes in line with industry best practices.Develop short-, medium-, and long-term production plans that balance operational capabilities with business requirements.Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual production forecasts.Analyse variances between planned and actual production performance and recommend corrective actions.Integrate shutdowns, maintenance activities, operational constraints, and facility capacities into production planning models.Monitor well, asset, and facility performance to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and production losses.Recommend production optimization, debottlenecking, and operational improvement initiatives.Support and maintain real-time production monitoring systems, data historians, and operational dashboards.Develop and maintain production performance KPIs, scorecards, and management reporting tools.Ensure seamless integration between production monitoring, planning, and business systems.Support advanced analytics, machine learning, and digital transformation programmes aimed at improving production efficiency.Participate in the deployment of AI-enabled solutions for forecasting, production optimization, and deferment analysis.Conduct scenario modelling and production sensitivity studies to support decision-making.Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Commercial, Digital, and IT teams to ensure alignment of production objectives and business priorities.Additional RequirementsStrong understanding of operational excellence, production performance management, and continuous improvement practices.Experience working in multidisciplinary and multicultural project or operational environments.Ability to support both office-based and field/site activities when required.Candidates will be subject to technical and competency-based assessments as part of the recruitment process.
