Role DescriptionAn Engineering Director leads the engineering organization and provides strategic direction for engineering development, technical operations, and project delivery. The role is responsible for driving engineering excellence, managing technical teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee engineering teams, managers, and technical leaders.Develop engineering strategies and technical plans aligned with company and business objectives.Oversee engineering development, architecture, infrastructure, and technical operations.Ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, reliable, and high-quality engineering solutions.Establish engineering standards, processes, best practices, and development methodologies.Collaborate with product, technology, operations, and business teams on strategic initiatives.Manage engineering resources, budgets, priorities, project timelines, and delivery performance.Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain engineering talent and technical leaders.Monitor engineering performance, technical risks, quality, productivity, and project delivery.Provide technical leadership, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Extensive experience in engineering, software development, technical operations, or engineering management.Strong knowledge of engineering practices, system architecture, technology development, and project delivery.Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex technical projects.Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.Ability to manage multiple teams, stakeholders, priorities, budgets, and large-scale initiatives.Strong understanding of product development, technology strategy, and business objectives.Professional, strategic, collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
