Team members collaborate closely with clients, other consultants, and public agencies to deliver clear, defensible technical recommendations.Role Description The Engineering Geologist will work on-site in Temecula, CA in a full-time capacity, supporting geotechnical and environmental projects from initial investigation through reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting field investigations, logging soil and rock samples, overseeing drilling and sampling operations, and documenting subsurface conditions. The role involves preparing geologic and geotechnical reports, assisting with site characterization, and contributing to recommendations for foundations, slopes, and earthwork. The Engineering Geologist will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients, ensuring that field data is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Engineering Geology skills, including characterization of geologic hazards and interpretation of subsurface conditions.Candidates should possess practical Logging skills for soil and rock samples, including accurate description, classification, and documentation.Candidates should possess applied Geotechnical Engineering skills to support foundation, slope stability, and earthwork evaluations.Candidates should possess Site Investigation skills, including planning, execution, and assessment of borings, test pits, and surface mapping.Candidates should possess Field Work skills, including working outdoors in varied conditions, following safety protocols, and managing field equipment.Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering geology, or related field; eligibility or licensure as a Professional Geologist or Certified Engineering Geologist is preferred.Additional beneficial skills include strong technical writing, data analysis, familiarity with geotechnical software, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
