Engineering Lead / Engineering Manager – Trading Operations Technology | Hedge Fund | Hong Kong

We are working with a leading multi-strategy hedge fund looking to hire a hands-on Tech Lead / Engineering Manager to build and lead its Trading Operations Technology function.This is a strong opportunity for an experienced engineer with buy-side operations / post-trade technology experience who wants to remain hands-on while taking ownership of a growing team and critical technology platform.The roleThe person will lead and grow a small engineering team while remaining heavily involved in designing and building systems supporting post-trade operations, reconciliations, settlements, corporate actions, reference data and operational workflows.What we’re looking forTech: Python / JVM (Java, Kotlin or Scala), React, AWS, Terraform, plus experience building distributed systems, data pipelines and workflow orchestration.Business Domain required: Buy-side Operations Technology / post-trade, including trade lifecycle, reconciliations, settlements, and security master/reference data.Key vendor system knowledge: FlexTrade, Orchestrade, or Arcesium; broader experience integrating OMS/PMS platforms with fund administrators, prime brokers and custodians is also relevant.Personal traits: Hands-on, ownership-driven, collaborative, calm under pressure, and capable of leading and growing a team.This would suit someone who enjoys building systems rather than simply managing them, and wants genuine ownership over both the technology and future development of the team.Please reach out for a confidential discussion (Katie.huang@bahpartners.com)
