Engineering Manager, Americas

We are hiring an Engineering Manager, Americas to join QIC, a subsidiary of Boerboel. The role will be based in New York, with responsibility for our engineering teams across New York and Chicago.This is a senior, hands-on engineering leadership role within our quantitative trading technology team. You’ll work closely with our Head of Engineering in London and take ownership of engineering delivery across our US offices.Our engineering environment spans high-performance C++ systems, FPGA technology, global exchange connectivity, market data infrastructure and a 10PB+ historical data platform supporting systematic and high-frequency trading.We’re looking for someone who has:A strong technical/engineering backgroundExperience delivering production software within a trading environmentExperience managing developers across multiple locationsThe technical credibility to challenge estimates, priorities and delivery timelinesThe confidence to block releases or escalate issues when necessaryThe ability to operate autonomously across teams and time zonesExperience with market data, exchange connectivity, low-latency systems, hardware or FPGA delivery would be valuable, but isn’t essential.This is not a traditional project management or status-reporting role.
