Engineering Manager

We are partnering with a well-established Australian engineering, manufacturing and project delivery business to appoint an Engineering Manager.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of Project Engineers and drafters responsible for delivering complex structural projects across the commercial construction and infrastructure sectors.This is a leadership role with genuine breadth. While you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team, this is not a role removed from the detail. You will be a hands-on leader who enjoys being close to the work: providing technical direction, resolving complex engineering challenges, supporting key stakeholders and helping the team navigate projects through to successful delivery. Comfortable moving between strategic priorities and day-to-day execution, you lead by example and thrive in an environment where decisions are made, problems are solved and outcomes are achieved.While technical credibility is essential, this role will particularly suit a leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving engineering capability and creating an environment where people can develop and succeed.To be successful, you will bring:Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering, ideally supported by Chartered status.Experience leading engineering or technical teams within construction, structural engineering, manufacturing or project delivery environments.Strong project delivery experience across complex structural or infrastructure projects.The ability to balance sound engineering judgement with commercial and operational outcomes.Well-developed stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments and collaborating across design, engineering and operations.Exposure to design and drafting platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar.This opportunity offers the chance to step into a visible leadership position within a business that has an established reputation, a strong pipeline of work and a clear focus on developing its engineering capability.
