Engineering Manager

Role Description This part-time Engineering Manager role at Onyx Sport S.A. is a hybrid position based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work from home. The Engineering Manager oversees day-to-day technical delivery, guiding engineering teams in planning, designing, and implementing software solutions that support the company’s sports technology products. Responsibilities include coordinating project timelines, prioritizing tasks, managing resources, and ensuring integration between platforms and services. The role involves collaborating with product, operations, and stakeholder teams to refine requirements, mitigate risks, and improve engineering processes. The Engineering Manager also supports talent development through coaching, feedback, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance team culture.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in Engineering Management and Team Leadership, including mentoring and supporting diverse technical teams.Hands-on background in Software Development, with the ability to review code and guide technical decisions.Strong Project Management skills, with a track record of delivering complex engineering initiatives on time and within scope.Experience with system and software Integration, ensuring interoperability between applications, APIs, and third-party services.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is beneficial.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Dubai.Familiarity with agile methodologies, modern development practices, and engineering best practices.Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, make data-informed decisions, and maintain high quality and security standards.Experience in sports technology or consumer digital products is an advantage.
