Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager | Product Engineering. You'll lead two engineering squads (around 10 engineers) through the evolution of a mature platform from a legacy Java architecture to a modern Node.js, React and TypeScript stack. Working alongside Product Managers, Data Engineers and Principal Engineers, you'll shape the future technical architecture, modernise API integrations, simplify complex data flows and help deliver the next generation of AI-enabled product capabilities. This is a genuine opportunity to influence the technical direction of a platform that sits at the heart of a highly successful technology business. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems as much as building high-performing teams. In your first few months, you'll map the current and future-state architecture, lead technical discovery, define solution architecture, oversee the migration of APIs and services, and bring clarity to a complex engineering environment. You'll also lead two distinct squads; one focused on maintaining and evolving the existing Java platform, and the other building the future using React, Node.js and TypeScript.
