Our platform powers large-scale live events, real-time streaming experiences, subscription services, commerce, and personalization at global scale.Our Hyderabad technology hub plays a critical role in building highly scalable, cloud-native platforms that support millions of concurrent users across multiple devices and regions.We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead high-performing backend engineering teams focused on building scalable SaaS and platform capabilities using Java, Microservices, AWS, and Node.js technologies.What You’ll DoLead and mentor a team of backend and full-stack engineers building scalable distributed systems.Strong understanding of Low-Level Design principles, with the ability to review and guide engineers on pseudocode, algorithms, design patterns, and implementation qualityDrive architecture, design, and delivery of cloud-native applications and microservices.Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional stakeholders.Own engineering execution, sprint planning, roadmap delivery, and operational excellence.Build highly available and resilient systems running on AWS cloud infrastructure.Champion engineering best practices including CI/CD, code reviews, observability, security, and performance optimization.Drive modernization initiatives from monolithic systems to event-driven microservices architectures.Foster a strong engineering culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Support hiring, team scaling, career development, and performance management.Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for high traffic and low latency environments.What We’re Looking For10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in people management or technical leadership roles.Strong hands-on expertise in handling projects covering below skills.JavaSpring BootMicroservices ArchitectureNode.js / TypeScriptREST APIsAWS Cloud ServicesExperience building SaaS platforms or large-scale distributed systems.Strong understanding of:Event-driven architecturesKafka or messaging systemsDocker & KubernetesCI/CD pipelinesSystem design & scalability patternsExperience with modern engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and DevOps culture.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to balance hands-on technical contributions with people leadership responsibilities.Good to HaveExperience in OTT, Media Streaming, AdTech, Payments, or Subscription platforms.Exposure to high-scale consumer applications serving global audiences.Knowledge of observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or ELK.Experience with React or frontend ecosystems is an added advantage.Exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows or platform automation initiatives.Why Join DAZN?Build systems that power global live sports experiences at massive scale.Work on modern cloud-native technologies and distributed architectures.Collaborate with talented global engineering teams solving complex technical challenges.Be part of a fast-paced, high-impact technology organization transforming sports entertainment.
