This role blends strong technical leadership in Python-based systems, people management, and ownership of platform reliability, observability, and performance for mission-critical SaaS products.You will work closely with Product, Data Science, Architecture, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-quality solutions that power retail decision intelligence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and grow a team of software engineers delivering Python-based analytics and SaaS platformsOwn delivery of complex, multi-service projects with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performanceProvide hands-on technical leadership in Python/Java/C++, PostgreSQL, and SQL-heavy systemsDrive architectural decisions aligned with Impact Analytics’ data-intensive and API-driven platformsEstablish and mature observability, monitoring, alerting, and APM practices across servicesEnsure high availability and performance of customer-facing systems in productionCollaborate with DevOps teams on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and release readinessPartner with Product Management and Data Science teams to translate retail business problems into robust engineering solutionsLead Agile execution including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and delivery trackingAct as a coach and mentor—supporting hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career growthCommunicate technical and delivery status effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholdersMandatory Skills & Experience13–17 years of overall software engineering experience, including leading engineering teamsStrong hands-on expertise in Python/ Java/ C++ and PostgreSQLExcellent SQL skills, including query optimization and handling large datasetsProven experience managing and delivering Python-based products or platformsHands-on experience with cloud platforms (experience on GCP is a strong plus)Deep knowledge of Observability and Application Performance Management, including:Metrics, logs, and distributed tracingRoot cause analysis and performance tuningStrong experience working in Agile/Scrum development environmentsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to clearly present technical concepts to business and leadership audiencesStrong ownership mindset with attention to quality, reliability, and customer impactComfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-centric SaaS environmentPreferred / Added AdvantageExposure to frontend technologies such as ReactJS and modern web architecturesExperience in the retail domain, especially analytics, forecasting, pricing, assortment, or supply chain systemsExperience building data-heavy or analytics platforms at scaleFamiliarity with microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures
