Engineering Manager

Role Description The Engineering Manager role at Silicon, Wafer & Fabrication is a part-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role oversees engineering teams working on semiconductor and fabrication-related projects, ensuring technical quality and timely delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and coordinating engineering activities, managing project timelines, and aligning engineering work with business and production goals. The Engineering Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, supports integration of new technologies or processes on the production floor, and resolves technical issues that impact manufacturing. The role also involves mentoring engineers, reviewing designs and documentation, monitoring performance metrics, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to guide technical teams and coordinate cross-functional efforts.Candidates should possess Software Development and Integration skills to support tooling, automation, and system interoperability within fabrication environments.Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and deliver engineering initiatives on schedule and within scope.Candidates should possess excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills to work effectively with production, operations, and executive leadership.Relevant experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or hardware-focused engineering environments, with knowledge of fabrication processes and quality standards.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Ability to work on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
