Engineering Manager (Platform)Our client is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their Platform team, working hybrid in Sydney. You’ll manage engineers spread across different locations and time zones, drive the platform roadmap and priorities, and have the authority to make the final call on technology direction.Day to dayLead the team day to day, including 1:1s, career development, hiring and team healthOwn the backlog and deliver against agreed outcomesSet direction for infrastructure automation, CI/CD, developer enablement and reliabilityMake timely, well reasoned technology decisions and explain the thinkingPartner with cloud operations from the start so work is ready to runRepresent the team to engineering, product and other stakeholdersExperience Required7 to 10 years of engineering experience, including 2 to 3 years leading engineersExperience leading distributed teamsOwnership of a delivery backlog and roadmap, ideally for an internal developer platformDecisive judgement, plus a collaborative style and a record of growing engineersStrong platform background: hands on AWS, containers, observability, Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD and PythonSaaS experienceLarge scale data experienceFinOps and cost optimisationExperience enabling AI assisted software deliverybrittany@nuagetg.io 📧
