Engineering Manager - Frontend

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager – Frontend Platform to lead the architecture, development, and delivery.This team will act as a central frontend capability supporting multiple business areas, including Client Area, Websites, Back Office, CRM, Trading Platforms, internal tools, and other business-critical applications.The Engineering Manager will manage the frontend team within this squad and will be responsible for frontend architecture, technical standards, delivery quality, team performance, and continuous improvement across the frontend scope.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team ManagementLead and manage a dedicated Frontend Squad supporting multiple business-critical platforms.Manage frontend Tech Leads, senior frontend engineers, and frontend developers within the squad.Define clear frontend ownership, technical direction, coding standards, and delivery expectations.Partner with Product, UX/UI, QA, Cloud, Security, Backend Engineering, Delivery, and other Engineering Managers.Support hiring, technical interviews, onboarding, mentoring, and development of frontend talent.Frontend Architecture and Technical DirectionOwn the frontend architecture strategy for the Frontend Platform area.Define and maintain frontend standards, reusable components, design patterns, and best practices.Guide teams in React.js, Next.js, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SASS/LESS, and related frontend technologies.Drive consistency across UI architecture, frontend performance, state management, API integration, and component design.Reduce duplicated frontend effort by promoting reusable solutions, shared libraries, and common standards.Frontend Development and DeliveryOwn frontend delivery execution for the squad and ensure alignment with wider engineering priorities.Oversee frontend development for web applications, portals, dashboards, websites, internal tools, and client-facing interfaces.Drive delivery from technical planning through development, testing, release, and post-release monitoring.Identify and resolve frontend blockers, delivery risks, dependencies, technical gaps, and performance issues.Ensure strong engineering practices, including documentation, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and release readiness.AI Adoption and Engineering ProductivityPromote practical use of AI tools to improve frontend development productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and delivery speed.Encourage frontend teams to adopt AI-assisted development practices responsibly.Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, reusable assets, and AI-supported engineering workflows.RequirementsExperience10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong frontend engineering background.5+ years in engineering leadership, technical leadership, or frontend management roles.5+ years of React.js and Next.js hands-on development for customer-facing applications.Proven experience managing frontend Tech Leads, senior frontend engineers, or frontend development teams.Strong experience leading frontend delivery across complex web applications, portals, dashboards, websites, or internal platforms.Experience defining frontend architecture, standards, reusable components, and engineering practices.Experience working with multiple squads, business areas, or product teams as a central frontend capability.Experience in financial services, fintech, brokerage, trading, payments, or regulated environments is highly preferred.Technical SkillsStrong expertise in React.js, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development.Good experience with Node.js and frontend/backend integration patterns.Strong understanding of SASS/LESS, responsive design, adaptive design, and cross-browser compatibility.Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, API contracts, and frontend data integration.Good understanding of UI/UX standards, accessibility, usability, SEO principles, and frontend performance optimization.Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and production release practices.Experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.Strong understanding of security and data protection principles for web applications.Practical experience using AI tools to improve engineering productivity and frontend delivery efficiency.
