Engineering Manager, Growth Systems
Mighty & True · Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area
قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجWe're hiring the person who takes over the senior build work our founder does today.Mighty & True is a B2B tech marketing agency that builds systems that create pipeline for leading technology brands. This role is fully remote (though you must be located in Austin, TX), full-time, and you must be eligible to work in the US.The job, honestly: This role sits on both sides of the business. One side is product: taking the ideas and repeated client needs that pile up inside an agency and turning them into something we can sell, staff, and run again. The other side is delivery: sitting with clients to scope and ship the work those products power. The balance moves, sometimes a lot, quarter to quarter. You're accountable for results in both modes and for moving between them without dropping either. If you need a fixed split negotiated every time the work shifts, this will frustrate you.How we buildWe build with agentic tools every day. Not as an experiment, and not as a substitute for judgment. The tools write a lot of the code. You own what ships, including the things they get confidently wrong: the missing index, the race condition, the permission left open.Work moves in day-sized shippable pieces, not month-long branches. Plans get written and agreed before building starts. Agent-built code is held to the same bar as hand-written code, and every AI-assisted deliverable gets a human review before a client sees it.What you'd ownProductizing agency ideas. Translate concepts and repeated client needs into technical plans. Call what's genuinely productizable versus what should stay bespoke, early and clearly. The technical stack. Own the tooling behind our use of modern and agentic systems.Client solution design. Be the senior technical voice in the room: scoping, estimation, delivery stages, acceptance, handoff. Quality shouldn't depend on who's staffed.Team enablement. Make what you build operable by other people through training, documentation, and support models. Nothing important lives only in your head.People. Manage junior developers and contract engineers, and mentor toward independence.Production. Resolve issues in owned systems fast, before they reach clients and delivery teams. What we're looking for some that... Ships production code with agentic coding tools every day, and owns the outputHas a working knowledge of a modern stack: TypeScript/Node, Supabase, Vercel, workflow automationHas managed junior or contract engineers, and made systems operable by more than one personCan be the senior technical voice in a client room for scoping, estimating, translating trade-offsHas a bias for shipping. Day-sized pieces, not month-long branchesHIs hard on your own work before anyone else has to be, and no ego about authorshipWhen this isn't a fitIf you want to specialize deeply in one system and go quiet for a quarter, this isn't it. If client-facing work drains you, half this job will drain you. And if you'd rather write every line yourself than review what an agent wrote, you'll fight the way we work instead of using it.How to applyAn email and a LinkedIn profile is enough to start.
