Engineering Manager / Logistics Manager

Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Engineering Manager / Logistics Manager to lead engineering operations while overseeing logistics and supply chain activities to ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for managing engineering projects, optimizing logistics processes, coordinating cross-functional teams, and implementing strategic initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.Key responsibilities include:Lead and manage engineering and logistics operations to ensure efficient execution of business objectives.Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects, logistics activities, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.Develop engineering strategies, logistics plans, project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.Monitor operational performance, project milestones, logistics efficiency, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Supervise engineering teams, logistics personnel, contractors, suppliers, and third-party service providers.Coordinate preventive maintenance, asset management, and equipment reliability initiatives to maximize operational performance.Optimize transportation routes, warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Conduct risk assessments, root cause analyses, and process evaluations to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Collaborate with procurement, production, operations, quality assurance, finance, and senior leadership teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives.Ensure compliance with engineering standards, workplace health and safety regulations, transportation requirements, environmental policies, and organizational procedures.Manage engineering documentation, logistics records, technical specifications, operating procedures, and project reports.Support budgeting, procurement, capital planning, vendor management, and contract administration activities.Drive digital transformation initiatives through automation, ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and engineering technologies.Prepare operational reports, performance dashboards, executive presentations, and strategic recommendations for management.Stay informed about emerging engineering technologies, supply chain innovations, AI-powered operational tools, and industry best practices.Foster a culture of safety, operational excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering and logistics functions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Strong understanding of engineering management, logistics operations, supply chain management, project management, and operational excellence principles.Knowledge of engineering design, maintenance management, transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution operations.Familiarity with ERP systems, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and project management tools.Understanding of engineering standards, workplace safety regulations, quality management systems, and supply chain best practices.Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement methodologies, and continuous improvement frameworks is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent written, verbal, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engineering and logistics initiatives simultaneously.High attention to detail with a commitment to quality, operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.Ability to work independently while leading cross-functional teams and managing external vendors and stakeholders.Adaptability and willingness to learn emerging engineering technologies, AI-powered operational solutions, and evolving logistics practices.Professional attitude with integrity, accountability, resilience, and a results-oriented mindset.Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational performance, cost optimization, and business objectives.Commitment to delivering innovative engineering solutions, optimizing logistics operations, and driving sustainable organizational growth through continuous improvement and operational excellence.
