Engineering Manager (Mandarin Speaker) - Jakarta

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join PT. Kredit Utama Fintech Indonesia in Jakarta Pusat. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in leading and developing our software engineering teams. As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for building high-performing teams, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative fintech solutions. This role requires a balance between hands-on technical leadership and people management, with the opportunity to shape the technical direction of our organisation and mentor the next generation of engineering talent.Key responsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop software engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learningManage team performance, conduct regular one-on-ones, and provide constructive feedback to support career developmentPlan and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and business objectivesDefine and implement engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processesCollaborate with product, design, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsOversee the architecture and technical design of software systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performanceMonitor and improve code quality through code reviews, testing frameworks, and continuous integration practicesIdentify and resolve technical bottlenecks and propose innovative solutions to complex engineering challengesManage team capacity planning, hiring needs, and talent acquisition to build strong engineering capabilitiesReport on team performance, project status, and key metrics to senior leadershipWhat we're looking forBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical fieldMinimum 5–7 years of professional software development experience with demonstrated expertise in software architecture and design patternsMinimum 2–3 years of experience in a management or team leadership role, ideally managing engineering teams of 5 or more individualsStrong proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks relevant to fintech or enterprise software developmentProficiency in Golang is PreferredProven expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance software systemsDeep understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or KanbanExperience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworksKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teamsStrong problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality software productsExperience in the fintech, banking, or financial services industry is highly desirableFamiliarity with security best practices, compliance frameworks, and data protection regulations relevant to financial services
