Engineering Manager - Semiconductor Equipment & Engineering

About the CompanyOur client is a Singapore-headquartered semiconductor engineering solutions provider supporting semiconductor manufacturers across the region. The company specialises in semiconductor equipment integration, installation, repair, refurbishment, optimisation and field service support.With engineering operations across multiple semiconductor markets, the company works closely with customers to improve equipment performance, resolve complex technical issues and develop equipment solutions suited to production requirements.This is a newly created Engineering Manager position with an opportunity to lead technical teams, work directly with customers and sales, and contribute to the development of semiconductor equipment solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team of engineers in semiconductor equipment engineering, troubleshooting, optimisation and technical support.Work closely with Business, Sales and Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate technical and equipment solutions.Provide technical leadership for complex equipment issues, including root cause analysis, equipment reliability, process optimisation and performance improvement.Support equipment introduction, installation, qualification, retrofit and lifecycle management activities across semiconductor manufacturing environments.Work with customers and internal specialists to evaluate technical requirements, develop proposals, and support the implementation of equipment solutions.Review and maintain engineering and process documentation, while driving improvements in engineering standards, troubleshooting methods and operational processes.Mentor engineers and build technical capabilities within the team while supporting continuous improvement and new technology development.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum 5 years of semiconductor industry experience, with strong exposure to semiconductor manufacturing equipment.Front-end AND back-end semiconductor experience is required, with exposure to wafer fabrication and backend processes such as packaging, assembly, burn-in, wire bonding, die attach, dicing or related operations.Strong hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment troubleshooting, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, equipment optimisation, qualification or introduction.Demonstrated experience leading engineers, technicians, cross-functional teams, projects, or technical improvement programmes.
