The environment is academic yet industry-oriented, with emphasis on professional skills, communication, and international exposure.Role Description The English Communication and Etiquette Faculty will be responsible for teaching English communication, soft skills, and professional etiquette to hospitality management students in classroom and workshop settings. This full-time, on-site role is based at the IIHM campus in Siliguri and involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback to support language development and personality enhancement. The faculty member will design and update course materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and assessment tools aligned with institutional standards and industry needs. The role includes mentoring students on interview skills, workplace behavior, and customer-facing communication, as well as coordinating with other faculty to integrate communication and etiquette training into the broader hospitality curriculum. Participation in academic meetings, student events, and continuous improvement initiatives is expected.QualificationsStrong foundation in English Teaching and Teaching, with demonstrated ability to instruct diverse learners in spoken and written communication.Experience in Curriculum Development for communication, etiquette, or hospitality-related courses, including lesson planning and assessment design.Academic or practical background in English Literature and Literature, supporting advanced language competence and cultural awareness.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a clear, neutral accent and confident classroom presence.Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Education, or related field; formal teacher training or TESOL/TEFL certification is an advantage.Experience teaching at the college level or in professional training, preferably in hospitality, management, or service-oriented domains.Ability to design interactive, learner-centered sessions focused on soft skills, grooming, workplace etiquette, and customer service communication.Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and the ability to manage multiple batches and administrative responsibilities effectively.Comfort working in a multicultural academic environment and supporting students from varied linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds.
