The lecturer will plan, deliver, and assess English language and literature courses, using a variety of teaching methods to engage learners and support different learning styles. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, conducting lectures and tutorials, evaluating assignments and exams, and providing constructive feedback to learners. The role also involves participating in curriculum discussions, contributing to academic quality assurance, maintaining accurate learner records, and supporting extracurricular academic activities related to English language learning. The lecturer is expected to collaborate with colleagues, attend departmental meetings, and uphold institutional policies and standards.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in English Teaching and Lecturing, with experience delivering lessons to diverse groups of learners.Candidates should possess skills in Curriculum Development and Education, including designing course content, learning outcomes, and assessment methods.Candidates should possess practical Teaching skills, such as classroom management, learner engagement, and effective evaluation techniques.A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field is preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in academic English, are expected.Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff, and to support an inclusive and respectful learning environment.Prior experience in higher education or tertiary-level teaching, and familiarity with technology-enhanced learning, will be considered an advantage.
