Employment Type: Full-time, On-siteWe are looking for a highly proficient and passionate English Language & International Test Preparation Trainer who can train students in English communication, grammar and academic English while preparing them for internationally recognised English proficiency examinations.The ideal candidate should have strong command of English grammar and communication and should be capable of teaching students at different proficiency levels, from basic English learners to advanced test candidates.The trainer will be responsible for conducting both individual and group classes and should be comfortable preparing students for multiple English proficiency examinations, including IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, LanguageCert and Duolingo English Test.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct English language and communication classes for students preparing to study abroad.Teach English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence construction and effective communication.Develop students' confidence in speaking and everyday English communication.Conduct structured training in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.Prepare students for IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, LanguageCert and Duolingo English Test.Understand the format, question types, assessment criteria and scoring methodology of different English proficiency tests.Develop customised lesson plans and training materials based on students' proficiency and target scores.Conduct regular mock tests, assessments and progress reviews.Identify students' weaknesses and provide individualised improvement plans.Train students in exam strategies, time management and effective answering techniques.Support students who require English for academic purposes, university interviews and overseas education.Conduct one-to-one as well as group training sessions.Maintain accurate records of attendance, test scores and student progress.Coordinate with the counselling and admissions teams to understand students' course, university and language requirements.Provide feedback to students and parents when required.Continuously update knowledge of international English proficiency examinations and teaching methodologies.Participate in internal training, workshops and academic activities conducted by the organisation.Required SkillsExcellent command of spoken and written English.Strong understanding of English grammar and sentence structure.Strong pronunciation, vocabulary and communication skills.Ability to explain complex English concepts in a simple and practical manner.Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.Ability to teach students from beginner to advanced levels.Strong lesson planning and assessment skills.Ability to identify individual learning gaps and create improvement plans.Good presentation and interpersonal skills.Comfortable conducting both individual and group classes.Basic digital skills for using online learning platforms and teaching resources.International Test KnowledgeCandidates with strong practical knowledge of the following examinations are preferred:IELTS Academic & General TrainingPTE AcademicTOEFL iBTLanguageCertDuolingo English TestOET – additional advantageCandidates do not necessarily need to be experts in every examination at the time of joining, but they should have the ability and willingness to learn and confidently handle multiple test formats.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, TESOL or a related field.TEFL / TESOL / CELTA or other recognised English-language teaching certification is an advantage.Previous experience as an IELTS/PTE/TOEFL/English Language Trainer is preferred.Experience working with students preparing for overseas education is an advantage.Candidates with strong demonstrated teaching ability may also be considered based on their practical experience and performance in the selection process.ExperiencePreferred: 2–5 years of experience in English-language teaching, IELTS/PTE/test preparation or communication training.Freshers with exceptionally strong English proficiency, relevant qualifications and demonstrated teaching ability may also be considered.What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a trainer who is not just an exam coach, but a strong English educator who can:Build English fundamentals → Improve communication → Develop academic English → Prepare for international tests → Help students achieve their target scores.The candidate should be confident, approachable, patient and passionate about helping students improve their English and achieve their overseas education goals.
