Location: TokyoDesignation: English TeacherEducation:A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related fieldCertification: A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., M.Ed PGCE, QTS, or state licensure)Visa Status: Permanent Resident / Instructor Visa / valid work visaLanguage: English (Fluent), Japanese (minimum Basic)Job ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Planning & Instruction:Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with middle school and High schoolDeliver engaging, student-centered lessons focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.Utilize diverse teaching techniques, including inquiry-based and digital pedagogy, to suit different learning styles.Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinationsAssessment & Pupil Progress:Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.Conduct formative and summative assessments, mock exams, and maintain records.Analyze data to identify learning gaps and implement interventions for high achievers and students needing support.Classroom Management & Culture:Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.Integrate technology (e.g., Google Classroom) for enhanced learning.Collaboration & Professionalism:Participate in departmental meetings, Parents Teacher Meetings (PTM), and professional development.Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate lesson plans.Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.Desired Candidate ProfileMinimum Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in English or Education. A Master's degree in English is preferred.Certification: Valid teaching certification (e.g., BEd, PGCE). Cambridge certification is highly preferred.Experience: 3-5 years of teaching experienceSkills:Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).Strong classroom management and organization skills.Cultural sensitivity, patience, and a "passion for education".
