Company Description Cambridge College of British English International (Pvt) Ltd operates as a Cambridge English Exam Preparation Centre (CELA Centre) and is officially registered with the British Council in Colombo, Sri Lanka, as an Authorized Exam Centre for the University of Cambridge Examinations. The college specializes in preparing learners from the age of five and above for a wide range of Cambridge English exams. It offers structured courses, comprehensive guidance, and exam-focused training to help students achieve strong results. Team members work within a recognized international examination framework and contribute directly to learners’ academic and professional development.Role Description The English Teacher will deliver engaging, level-appropriate lessons that prepare students for Cambridge English examinations, including planning and organizing daily classroom activities and assessments. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans aligned with exam requirements, teaching grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, and monitoring student progress through tests, assignments, and feedback. The teacher will maintain a supportive classroom environment, communicate regularly with students and guardians about performance, and participate in curriculum planning and staff meetings. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Galle, requiring consistent classroom presence and collaboration with the academic team.Qualifications Strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with experience instructing learners of different age groups and proficiency levels.Proficient in Lesson Planning and Education practices, including creating structured, exam-oriented lesson plans and learning materials.Excellent Communication skills for clear classroom instruction, student guidance, and collaboration with colleagues and guardians.Prior experience preparing learners for Cambridge English or similar international English examinations is highly desirable.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in English, Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field; relevant teaching certifications (e.g., CELTA, TESOL) are an advantage.Ability to manage classrooms effectively, use modern teaching methodologies, and integrate technology into language teaching.Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching and ongoing professional development.
