Class sizes under 24.Monday to Friday week.Annual performance bonus of 78%–150% of one month's salary, based on your rating.The roleYou will teach English Language and Literature across Grades 5 to 12, developing students' reading, writing, speaking and critical thinking skills. The school's senior grades follow an international pathway to Cambridge IGCSE. You will bring grammar, literature, composition and lively discussion into a classroom of curious, bilingual Emirati students.Deliver high-quality English lessons across a range of abilities, using direct instruction, discussion, group work and digital tools.Plan lessons aligned to the school's English curriculum, incorporating literature, grammar, vocabulary and composition.Design and administer assessments, analyse results and adapt instruction to move every student forward.Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills through literature and writing.Collaborate with the Head of English and colleagues on departmental goals and interdisciplinary projects.Maintain regular parent communication and participate fully in the school community, including extracurricular activities such as debates, literary clubs or writing competitions.What you must bringDegree in English, English Literature, English Education or a closely related field — minimum 2:1 (a 2:2 is considered where a postgraduate qualification has been achieved).Professional teaching qualification — BEd or subject degree plus PGCE.Current SACE registration.Minimum 3 years of classroom experience teaching English.Native or highly fluent English — the medium of instruction is English and verbal communication clarity is essential.Strong written communication and a genuine love of the subject.AdvantageousExperience teaching a British curriculum, IB or other recognised international curriculum (Cambridge, IEB).
