Aligned with NEP 2020 and a competency-based curriculum, SIS provides training, exchanges, and development programs to prepare learners and educators for a fast-changing world.Role Description The English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned English lessons to students, with a focus on reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. Daily responsibilities include planning and implementing lesson plans, assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. The teacher will create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes inquiry, collaboration, and respect, while integrating experiential learning methods in line with the school’s philosophy. Additional duties involve participating in school events, parent–teacher meetings, professional development activities, and supporting extracurricular initiatives related to language and literature. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Srinagar.Qualifications Strong expertise in English Teaching and Teaching, with a solid understanding of age-appropriate pedagogy.Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum implementation, aligned with competency-based education.Background in Education, preferably with formal training in teaching methodologies or language instruction.Excellent Communication skills for clear classroom instruction, feedback, and collaboration with colleagues and families.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; teaching certification is an advantage.Experience working in school settings, ideally with CBSE or NEP 2020-oriented curricula.Ability to create an inclusive, student-centered classroom and manage diverse learning needs.Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in training and exchange programs.
