Middle & High School English TeacherPresidency School MangaloreJob SummaryPresidency School Mangalore is looking for a passionate, skilled, and experienced English Teacher to teach students at the Middle and High School levels. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging and effective learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging English lessons for Middle and High School students.Teach English Language, Literature, Grammar, Reading and Writing skills as per the school curriculum.Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.Develop students' communication, comprehension, vocabulary, creative writing, and critical-thinking skills.Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.Monitor students' academic progress and provide additional support where required.Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.Encourage participation in debates, public speaking, creative writing, literary activities, and other language-related activities.Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and school management to support students' overall development.Maintain academic records and complete all assigned documentation within timelines.Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, workshops, and other academic activities.Educational QualificationBachelor's / Master's Degree in English from a recognized university.B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred.Candidates with relevant teaching qualifications and experience will be considered.Experience2–8 years of teaching experience in Middle and/or High School.Experience in CBSE / ICSE / reputed schools will be an added advantage.Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and communication skills may also be considered.Required SkillsExcellent English communication and writing skills.Strong command of English grammar and literature.Good classroom management skills.Student-centric and engaging teaching approach.Ability to use technology and digital teaching resources effectively.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.Creative, enthusiastic, and committed to students' academic and overall development.Job DetailsPosition: Middle & High School English Teacher
