With extended school hours and a qualitative educational approach inspired by modern international norms and the ethos of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” OPS aims to be a true learning centre where students excel in academics and character.Role Description The English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English language lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for the assigned grade levels. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching grammar, literature, reading, and writing skills, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs. The role involves maintaining classroom discipline, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, coordinating with other teachers and school leadership, and participating in school events, meetings, and co-curricular activities. The English Teacher will also contribute to curriculum enrichment, remedial support, and continuous improvement of teaching methods. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Om Public School CBSE in Thane.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with experience in classroom instruction at primary or middle school level.Candidates should possess Lesson Planning and Education skills, including the ability to design age-appropriate, CBSE-aligned learning activities and assessments.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for clear instruction, student engagement, and collaboration with colleagues and families.Graduate or postgraduate degree in English, Education, or a related field; B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.Knowledge of CBSE curriculum and child-centered pedagogical practices, with the ability to foster inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environments.Ability to use basic educational technologies and teaching aids to enhance learning outcomes.Strong classroom management, patience, and a commitment to students’ holistic development and ethical values.Prior experience as an English Teacher in a CBSE or similar school setting is an advantage.
