Language Teams focuses on practical, results-oriented language education designed to meet specific professional and personal goals.Role Description The English Teacher in Amsterdam will deliver high-quality English lessons to adult learners, including expats and professionals, in an on-site classroom setting. This full-time role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing learner progress, and adapting teaching materials to different proficiency levels and learning objectives. The teacher will provide clear feedback, support learners in developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, and incorporate communicative and task-based teaching methods. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum improvements, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment at the Amsterdam location.QualificationsStrong instructional skills in English Teaching and Teaching, with the ability to work with diverse adult learners.Experience in Lesson Planning and Education, including designing structured, goal-oriented lessons and assessments.Excellent Communication skills, both spoken and written, and the ability to provide constructive feedback.Relevant teaching certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) and a bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, English, or a related field.Experience teaching English as a second or foreign language in classroom settings, preferably in international or multicultural environments.Ability to create an inclusive, respectful classroom climate and to support learners with varied backgrounds and learning styles.Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work full time on-site in Amsterdam.Basic knowledge of Dutch or willingness to learn is an advantage, as is experience with business English or exam preparation courses.
