We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can create engaging lessons and help learners build confidence in English.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced English Tutor / Academic Instructor to deliver engaging English lessons to students with different proficiency levels, learning objectives, and academic needs.The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, supportive educator, and creative lesson planner who can adapt teaching methods to individual learners while maintaining clear academic standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging English lessons for individual students or small groups.Assess students' English proficiency, learning needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.Develop lesson plans, exercises, assignments, and learning materials appropriate to students' levels.Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.Support students with academic English, examination preparation, presentations, essays, and study skills where applicable.Adapt teaching methods and materials to different learning styles, ages, abilities, and academic objectives.Provide constructive feedback on students' written and spoken English.Monitor student progress and maintain accurate learning records and assessment notes.Set appropriate learning objectives and track progress against agreed goals.Encourage students to communicate confidently and participate actively during lessons.Use practical examples, discussions, role-play, multimedia, and interactive activities to improve engagement.Provide additional explanations and practice for students who require further support.Prepare quizzes, assignments, mock assessments, and progress evaluations where appropriate.Support students preparing for school, university, professional, or English-language examinations.Provide guidance on academic writing, research skills, presentations, and professional communication where relevant.Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, students, or educational coordinators when authorized.Provide regular progress updates and recommendations for continued learning.Use approved online teaching platforms, digital resources, learning-management systems, and educational technology.Maintain a structured, respectful, inclusive, and positive learning environment.Identify persistent learning difficulties and recommend appropriate additional support when necessary.Participate in teacher meetings, training, curriculum planning, and professional-development activities.Maintain confidentiality of student records, academic performance, and personal information.Continuously update teaching resources and approaches to improve student outcomes.Follow educational policies, safeguarding standards, academic procedures, and applicable UAE requirements.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in English, Education, Linguistics, Literature, Communications, or a related field is preferred.3+ years of professional experience in English teaching, tutoring, academic instruction, language training, or a related role is preferred.Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.Strong understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, composition, and communication skills.Excellent teaching, presentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.Patient, encouraging, adaptable, and student-focused approach.Ability to explain complex language concepts clearly and practically.Strong lesson-planning, assessment, classroom-management, and time-management skills.Experience teaching students from different age groups, proficiency levels, and cultural backgrounds is advantageous.Experience with IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, SAT, academic English, or business English is advantageous.Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, learning-management systems, and digital teaching tools is advantageous.UAE or GCC education experience is advantageous.TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, QTS, or other relevant teaching qualifications are advantageous but not required.What We OfferFlexible part-time working opportunities within a professional education and language-learning environment.Competitive compensation aligned with teaching experience, subject expertise, and instructional responsibilities.Opportunity to work with diverse learners and develop expertise across academic English, communication, examination preparation, and language development.Exposure to modern online teaching platforms, digital learning resources, and innovative educational methods.Professional development opportunities and continuous learning in English education, assessment, instructional design, and student engagement.A supportive and collaborative environment where patience, academic quality, creativity, communication, and student progress are highly valued.
