English Tutor / Academic Instructor to provide engaging English instruction to learners with different proficiency levels, ages, and academic objectives.The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, supportive educator, and creative lesson planner who can simplify complex language concepts and deliver effective, student-centered learning experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging English lessons for individual students and small groups.Assess students' English proficiency, learning objectives, strengths, and areas requiring improvement.Develop structured lesson plans, exercises, assignments, activities, and learning materials.Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.Support academic English, examination preparation, presentations, essays, study skills, and research communication where applicable.Adapt teaching strategies and materials to different ages, proficiency levels, learning styles, and educational backgrounds.Provide clear and constructive feedback on students' written and spoken English.Monitor student progress and maintain accurate learning records and assessment notes.Set measurable learning objectives and track progress against agreed goals.Encourage active participation, confident communication, critical thinking, and independent learning.Use discussions, role-play, practical examples, multimedia, games, and interactive exercises to improve engagement.Provide additional explanations, examples, and practice for students who need extra support.Prepare quizzes, assignments, mock tests, presentations, and progress assessments where appropriate.Support students preparing for IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, school examinations, university requirements, or other approved assessments.Provide guidance on academic writing, presentations, professional communication, and study techniques where relevant.Communicate professionally with students, parents, guardians, and education coordinators when authorized.Provide regular progress updates and recommendations for continued learning.Use approved online teaching platforms, digital resources, learning-management systems, and educational technology.Maintain a structured, respectful, inclusive, and positive learning environment.Identify persistent learning challenges and recommend appropriate additional support when necessary.Participate in teacher meetings, curriculum planning, training, and professional-development activities.Maintain confidentiality of student records, academic performance, and personal information.Continuously update teaching resources and instructional methods to improve student outcomes.Contribute ideas for improving curriculum content, student engagement, lesson quality, and learning experiences.Follow educational policies, safeguarding standards, academic procedures, and applicable UAE requirements.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in English, Education, Linguistics, Literature, Communications, or a related field is preferred.3+ years of professional experience in English teaching, tutoring, academic instruction, language training, or a related role is preferred.Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.Strong understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, composition, and communication.Excellent teaching, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Patient, encouraging, adaptable, and student-focused approach.Ability to explain complex language concepts clearly, accurately, and practically.Strong lesson-planning, assessment, classroom-management, and time-management skills.Experience teaching students from different age groups, proficiency levels, and cultural backgrounds is advantageous.Experience with IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, SAT, academic English, business English, or professional communication is advantageous.Experience using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, LMS platforms, and digital teaching tools is advantageous.Strong computer literacy and confidence delivering online lessons.UAE or GCC education experience is
